Voxel offers in-school Maker Lab services and STEAM curriculum integrations to local schools and partner programs. Whether you’re looking to start a STEM / Maker lab, add electives or in-school After school programs / clubs, Voxel has it covered!
Bring the most cutting-edge technology instruction to your children through fun, hands-on workshops! Voxel Academy has the experience of offering STEM-themed programming in schools and organizations around New York City for the last 8 years with our partner programs, in topics including video game design, coding with Minecraft, 3D printing, and many other future-relevant technology topics often recognized in AP or college-level courses.
At Voxel Academy we look beyond the landscape of learning apps and games that are becoming commonplace sources of personalized learning within the classroom. Coding your own apps and constructing custom games actually involve a more relevant and engaging process. Rapid innovation in EdTech is evolving the ways in which students learn, this was the foundation which motivated us to get started. Voxel’s approach is to integrate the actual process of innovation into each Child’s education. We teach the skills and provide the tools for children to create the very type of content that is being used by their instructors and influencers.
Residencies
Brooklyn Independent
Brooklyn Independent is a 6th-8th independent middle school with a fierce belief in diversity and inclusion. BKI “Voxel After-school” Info
Current availability is exclusive to BKI students. In-school convenience, students walk themselves to their resident Makerlab after classes are dismissed. This project based Maker workshop focuses on individual, long term projects and aims to facilitate growth through students personal pursuit of any app, topic or creation. Students can choose from a variety of tools and software to make anything! 3D printing, digital modeling, art, code, programming and so much more.

The Sterling School
The Sterling School specializes in students with dyslexia and language based learning disabilities to provide evidence based, sequential, direct-multimodal support using the Orton-Gillingham methodology to teach reading, writing, spelling, and language arts. Our educational program is designed to promote individual academic growth and foster self-esteem through success.

Workshop Middle School
Workshop Middle School is an award-winning progressive school

The Dock Street School
The Dock Street School provides a rigorous college preparatory education for grades 6-8 with a strong emphasis on science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM).
